Privacy policy

The short version: the only personal information this site collects is what you type into our enquiry form. We use it to reply to you. And we set no cookies. The detail is below.

Who we are

Sait Recycling is the trading name of L W SAIT & Sons LLP, registered in England & Wales (LLP no. OC302073). Our depot is at Rear of AL-Le Logistics, Rushenden Road, Queenborough, Kent ME11 5HL. We’re the data controller for everything described on this page.

For anything privacy-related, email info@lwsait.co.uk or call +44 (0)1795 427 535.

What we collect, and why

The enquiry form asks for your name, your charity or organisation, your role, roughly how many shops you run, your work email, a phone number if you choose to give one, and your message.

We use those details for one thing: replying to you. In GDPR terms, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.

If you tick “Keep me posted on rates and industry updates”, we’ll also use your email address for occasional updates. That one runs on your consent, and it’s optional. The box starts unticked. And you can change your mind at any time by emailing us.

Where your details live

Enquiries go to exactly two places: a private mailbox, and an access-controlled file on our own server. We don’t pass your details to any third party, and we never sell them.

How long we keep it

We delete enquiries after 12 months. The one exception: if your enquiry leads to a contract with us, the relevant details move into our normal client records for as long as we work together.

Analytics, and why there’s no cookie banner

We use Plausible, a cookieless analytics service, to count visits. It tells us which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from. It collects no personal data and sets no cookies.

In fact, this website sets no cookies at all. That’s why there’s no cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to.

Map tiles on the demo page

The portal demo is the one page that shows a map, drawn with tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Loading those tiles sends your IP address to the Foundation’s servers, the same as visiting openstreetmap.org would. Their privacy policy covers that request. No other page on this site talks to any third party beyond the analytics described above.

Your rights

UK GDPR gives you the right to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, and to receive a copy you can take elsewhere.

To use any of them, email info@lwsait.co.uk and we’ll act on it within one month, usually much sooner. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
